Sean-Michael is a recent Geoscience graduate from Florida International University, concentrating in Atmospheric Science, and is currently pursuing GIS studies at Miami Dade College. He now joins AOML as an intern under CIMAS, collaborating with researcher Andrew Hazelton on a verification study of NOAA AOML's experimental HAFS-M v2.1 model. This study evaluates the model's ability to predict tropical cyclone genesis during the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season. This work supports ongoing efforts to validate and refine HAFS-M's genesis forecasting performance under Andrew Hazelton's guidance.
